FILLERS AND INJECTABLES

Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures

This painless and non-surgical treatment softens wrinkles and creates fuller, more youthful contours around the eyes, cheeks, and lips. During treatment, soft tissue fillers (also called dermal fillers) are injected beneath the skin to smooth and reshape the face. Results last for six months or more, at which point the procedure can be repeated.

Is this for me?

Fillers are ideal for women and men who wish to achieve a softer, younger appearance without surgery. The treatment can be used to improve the appearance of wrinkles or sunken and shadowed areas of the face, and to minimize the visibility of facial scars, pitting, or other uneven skin textures. Fillers can also be used to enhance the overall results achieved with a facelift surgery.

Procedure:

Your surgeon will apply a topical anesthetic to the area to be treated and then make a series of quick injections with the desired filler (purified human fat, calcium hydroxyapatite, or hyaluronic acid). If the area you wish to treat requires deeper injections, your surgeon may recommend a local anesthetic. The entire process takes less than half an hour at the most, with no downtime needed. At most, you may experience a little temporary swelling or redness, which can be treated with a cold compress.

Facts:

Fillers and Botox® are often recommended as complementary treatments to enhance surgical procedures. Botox® relaxes the muscles that create certain wrinkles around the eyes and forehead, while fillers smooth hollows and creases in other parts of the face.
