Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Procedure:
There are two techniques, which are the most well-known for this type of procedure. On the lower lid, the "traditional" technique leaves a hidden scar at the base of the lash line. This procedure eliminates excess skin and fat on the eyelid. The "transconjuntive" technique only eliminates the fat deposits from the inside of the lid, so there is no visible scar tissue.
On the upper lid, the traditional procedure will result in a tiny inconspicuous, scar, about 10 mm from the natural crease of the eyelid. This procedure also involves removing excess skin and fat deposits. It is very common to combine these procedures with a brow lift, since these will all combine to prevent extra skin (or bulk) on the upper lid.
